  1. Al Khidma comes from Arabic, khada-yakhdamu which means devotion/devotion. Based on this naming, this journal is then called Al Khidma: Community Service Journal. Al Khidma Journal is a national journal that contains the results of community service and empowerment activities in the form of implementing various fields of science including education, engineering, agriculture, social humanities, computers and health and so on. Al Khidma is published twice a year, namely in January and July. This journal is managed by the Research and Community Service Center (BPPM) of the Al-Qur'an College (STIQ) Amuntai and in collaboration with the Indonesian Journal Volunteers (RJI). In addition, the Al Khidma journal is a publication forum for academics to publish various community service activities with interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scientific models.
  2. This journal was created based on the results of the STIQ Amuntai Journal Management meeting with all Field Supervisors (DPL) during the KKN activities in 2020 who wanted to create a forum for community service reports from STIQ Amuntai lecturers and off-campus lecturers so that all reports of community service activities carried out by lecturers can be accommodated properly and documented in the form of a journal
  3. The Al Khidma Journal received an online publication permit from Brin on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 so that legally it can publish articles online
  4. Based on the Notification of the Results of the Accreditation of Scientific Journals Period I of 2024 with letter number 0547/E5/DT.05.00/2024 and in accordance with the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 72/E/KPT/2024, dated April 1, 2024 concerning the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals Period I of 2024, it is stated that the Al Khidma journal: Journal Community Service received a SINTA 5 accreditation rating from the National Journal Accreditation Agency (ARJUNA)
  5. To increase the number of visits and utilization of the Al Khidma journal as a journal home for off-campus lecturer publications, in volume 5 no. 1 January 2025 the number of publications was increased to 15 articles per issue number and applies to subsequent issues
  6. In early 2025, Jurnal Al-Khidma: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat underwent a template change, this aims to improve the quality of article layout, as well as the use of standard journal formats. And this template change is enforced starting from the publication of Vol 5 No 1 January 2025 to subsequent publications.
